Renewing Your Vehicle Inspection via the ACLEDA Super App

The service is for owners of vehicles registered in Cambodia whose vehicle inspection certificate is due for renewal or needs to be renewed. The nationality of the holder does not matter: what counts is the vehicle's administrative registration.

• Registered owner: the vehicle identification card must be in your name, or you must be able to produce a power of attorney from the owner.
• Vehicle type: private cars and motorbikes registered in Cambodia, subject to periodic vehicle inspection.
• Bank account: an active ACLEDA account with access to the ACLEDA Super App, for submitting the application and paying the fees.
• Documents available: vehicle identification card, tax document or old inspection certificate, plus an ID document for the owner or applicant.
• Certificate still valid or expired: early renewal is possible, and an expired certificate can still be processed through the same procedure.
• Vehicle in roadworthy condition: the physical inspection at the center remains mandatory after the application is approved.

The new feature concerns the administrative part: submitting the application, verifying the vehicle information, and payment are done remotely. The visit to the inspection center remains unchanged.

Prepare your documents before opening the app: the process runs in one go, and a missing item means you have to start the submission over.

1. Step 1: check the expiration date of your current inspection certificate and note the vehicle inspection due date.
2. Step 2: gather the vehicle identification card, the tax document or old certificate, and the ID document of the owner or applicant.
3. Step 3: open the ACLEDA Super App, scroll to "Other Services" and select "MPWT Public Service".
4. Step 4: read and accept the terms and conditions, then choose "Vehicle Inspection Certificate Renewal".
5. Step 5: scan the QR code on the vehicle card to automatically load the registration information.
6. Step 6: upload the requested documents and check that each scan is legible and not cut off.
7. Step 7: select the date and inspection center, then pay the service fees in the app and keep the confirmation.

• You can submit the application from home, without a preliminary trip to an inspection center to pick up or drop off a form.
• You choose a time slot that fits your schedule, which reduces waiting on site on the day of the inspection.
• Payment in riel or dollars is made in the app, with no need to prepare cash for the counter.
• Owners of locally registered motorbikes and cars follow the same procedure, including for a vehicle bought second-hand in Siem Reap.
• The appointment confirmation saved in the app serves as proof in case of a road check during the validity period.

Most blocked applications are due to a simple reason: an illegible document or a name that does not match the one on the vehicle card.

• Mistake 1 — Thinking the physical inspection disappears. The app only replaces the administrative part: the vehicle must still be presented at the inspection center on the chosen date.
• Mistake 2 — Uploading blurry or cropped scans. An illegible QR code or a missing corner of a document leads to rejection and a new submission.
• Mistake 3 — Using a vehicle registered in someone else's name without a power of attorney. The applicant's name must match the one on the vehicle identification card, or be accompanied by a written mandate.
• Mistake 4 — Waiting until the expiration date. Submit the application a few weeks before the due date to absorb a possible rejection and get a nearby slot.
• Mistake 5 — Not keeping the confirmation. Keep the payment proof and appointment in the app until the new certificate is issued.
