Free Angkor Pass: How to Get It as a Foreign Resident

This free pass is reserved for foreigners legally residing in Cambodia for at least two years. You must prove a long-term visa (type E, K, or other resident visa) and a fixed address.

• Nationality: all nationalities are eligible.
• Situation: holder of a valid resident visa (business visa, retirement visa, etc.) and a certificate of residence issued by local authorities.
• Duration: have resided in Cambodia continuously for at least 2 years before applying.

Until now, foreign residents had to buy a standard pass (1 day, 3 days, or 7 days) or a paid annual pass. Now, long-term residents can get a free annual pass.

Follow these steps to get your free Angkor pass.

1. Step 1: Check your eligibility. Make sure you have resided in Cambodia for more than 2 years with a valid long-term visa.
2. Step 2: Gather documents. Valid passport, long-term visa (copy), certificate of residence issued by your commune or district, and a recent passport photo.
3. Step 3: Apply online. Go to the official Angkor Enterprise website (angkorenterprise.gov.kh) and fill out the form for foreign residents. Upload scanned documents.
4. Step 4: Or submit your application in person. At the Angkor Enterprise office in Siem Reap (near Angkor Park) or in Phnom Penh. Present originals and copies.
5. Step 5: Wait for validation. Processing usually takes 7 to 10 business days. You will receive a confirmation email.
6. Step 6: Collect your pass. If approved, you can pick up your pass at the same office or have it mailed to you (depending on the option chosen).
7. Step 7: Use your pass. Show it at the entrance of Angkor and Koh Ker sites. It is personal and non-transferable.
