Forest Walk 2026: A Community Hike in the Angkor Woods

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Siem Reap is organizing its 9th edition of the Forest Walk on Sunday, May 10, 2026. This 10 km hike traverses wooded areas and ancient temples of the Angkor Archaeological Park. The event aims to reconnect participants with nature while fostering community bonds.

The start is scheduled in the morning, with a marked trail suitable for all levels. The initiative is open to expats, Khmer residents, and passing tourists. Registration is done via JCI Siem Reap's social media.

If you live in Siem Reap, this Forest Walk is a great opportunity to discover a less frequented side of Angkor: its forest trails. It's also a chance to meet the local and international community.

The event is free or pay-what-you-can (check with JCI). Bring good walking shoes, water, and a hat. The trail is not difficult, but the heat can be challenging in May.
